There are many available public and private grants and funding schemes for collecting organisations. This list is not exhaustive and will grow over time, so we’d love to hear of other opportunities we can promote!
MAC and SAHF GRANTS
The History Trust runs two annual grant programs that may also assist in funding your digitisation projects.
MaC grants are open to members of the Museums and Collections program.
The South Australian History Fund (SAHF) is available to a wide variety of community organisations and individuals for small history projects, publication and research projects. Enquiries are welcome throughout the year.
Community Heritage Grants
Run by the National Library of Australia, the Community Heritage Grants (CHG) program supports community organisations to look after Australian cultural heritage collections. CHG is open to non-profit, incorporated organisations. The program has a strong focus on supporting local groups with limited funding who would benefit from access to professional cultural heritage expertise. Applications from Indigenous and multicultural organisations are encouraged.
